Now that Halloween and the election (maybe) are over, it is time to get serious about Christmas music. Some stations have already begun. The main thing now is to be sure you are playing the right Christmas music. Sounds simple, but it is just as involved as playing the right music the other 10 or 1 months of the year. In our last installment I referred you to a newly minted study of Christmas music that would be a great help in finding the right songs and playing those songs in the proper rotations. But, finding the songs is only a part of the challenge. Playing those songs in the proper rotation is the larger and more challenging part of the equation. Playing the wrong songs too much will do a lot of harm and not playing the right songs enough will hurt you, too.
